About Us

East Sussex Rail Alliance (ESRA) – ESRA is an umbrella group formed to campaign for better rail services throughout the county. It concentrates efforts on coastal services between Brighton and Ashford and into London.

South Coast Mainline: A new website to publicise articles, events relating to the region’s railways.

St Leonards & Hastings Rail Improvement (SHRIMP): founded to look after the Hastings & St Leonards angle – all routes. SHRIMP is more an IT based group, using Twitter and e-mail and this website to communicate.

Bexhill Rail Action Group (BRAG): the first major group, principally looking into the interests surrounding the East Coastway route to Brighton, Gatwick and Victoria. BRAG holds monthly meetings on the 2nd Monday of each month from 7pm – 9pm at the Hastings Direct offices, Collington.

Southern East Coast Commuter Group – Member of the East Sussex Rail Alliance with BRAG and SHRIMP

Marshlink Action Group (MLAG) includes Three Oaks and Winchelsea Action for Rail Transport (THWART) – campaigning for improved services between Hastings and Ashford

Ore Transport Group (O.T.G.) – a fledgling group, still in the process of development.

All of the above groups feed into the national Rail Future campaign group.
