It's been a busy week for Politicians in Hastings and SHRIMP are encouraged to note that rail links have featured prominently in recent discussions.
On Friday, Gordon Brown made an assurance on maintaining the Hastings < > City direct link; on the
BBC Politics Show (Sunday) the regeneration issue was raised by (SHRIMP co-founder) Ray Chapman (

Martin Woodfine says: "Hastings should take encouragement from recent political assurances but at the same time should ensure that the issue is kept at the top of the agenda. Regeneration will be kick-started by better rail links and the action should start on May 7th. SHRIMP will be monitoring and lobbying until the promises are realised. Our recent early morning station flyer exercises have received positive feedback and we thank everyone concerned, especially our sponsor Bannatynes Gym, and the people who have signed up with SHRIMP as a result."
