SHRIMP Questionnaire

The Department Of Transport have issued the final copy of the Kent Route Utilization Strategy that confirms that from December 2015 all trains to Cannon Street from the Hastings, Battle, Etchingham and Wadhurst will be withdrawn.

This will mean that services to these areas in the peak hours will be reduced by a third in short two less trains per the peak hours.

Both SHRIMP and South Eastern Trains responded to the draft Kent RUS with extreme concerns surrounding these proposals. However the DFT and Network Rail have not listened to the feedback and these drastic cuts will be taking place.

The current solution being offered by Network Rail is a service every half an hour into London Charing Cross that will call at London Bridge, it is also proposed that these trains will divide at Tunbridge Wells conveying a fast and slow portion.

Please take 30 seconds to fill out the survey, as without this information it will be difficult to prove that there is sufficient demand for these services and we will be left with the worst rail links in the Southeast into the City.

Please note that the personal details you enter in this survey will not under any circumstances be shared with anyone.
